The workhorse of all shovels!
The 12 ga. forged blade is 8-3/4-inch x 11-1/2-inch. A key benefit of forging is the ability to change the steels thickness at critical stress areas. The lower socket, shank and top blade are thicker for extra strength. The blade then tapers thinner toward the edge to cut more efficiently. This line has the highest weight and price, but its an investment youll only need to make once - these shovels last! This A.M. Leonard round point shovel has a 30" ash wood handle and a D-grip. Perfect for digging under a tight spot like under a shrub. Forged blade and solid shank.
